Chrystal Star started in the hair industry at a young age, earning her license at 18. By 20, she was managing 1st salon; affiliated with Vidal Sassoon. She is trained by Vidal Sassoon and became certified. The education opened her mind and broadened her horizons.

In 2005, Chrystal moved to LA, where she began her career in TV and Film in makeup & hair. After 8-10 years she decided to return to her roots, Monterey.

In 2013-2015 Chrystal started to get involved with some charities: LLS, Meals on Wheels, and kingship center she is still active today and helps with the local chapters.

Then 2016 Chrystal found a hidden gem in Pacific Grove ca and opened her first salon Prim Hair Studio. Chrystal and her team have an amazing creative edge and an eye for detail perfection.
